What I know for sure is when we focus on what we are grateful for our hearts are filled with love and joy. This takes conscious practice by being aware of your thoughts and feelings. Your feelings are a good barometer to let you know what you have been focusing on. If you feel unhappy than it’s because you have drifted from your thoughts of graditude and happiness. The more you can bring your thoughts to the present moment, focusing on gratitude, and not live in the past or the future the happier you will be.
Of course it’s important to do what ever you can to make a situation better, but if there is nothing constructive that you can do in that moment, then let it go and bring your awarness back to SOMETHING that will lift your spirits. There is always something you can be grateful for. This takes practice and it will change your experience and your life!
